This is all you need to know about Cuchara de Palo, one of the sponsors for this 10th edition

This week we want to introduce you to Cuchara de Palo, which, apart from being a sponsor, will make your mouth water with its catering.

Some of you may already know the company; however, we wanted to take a deeper look into what they have to offer. It has become the APCP’s go-to catering service, so whenever the opportunity arises we try to work with them. One of the most recent examples is the ‘Shooting in Spain’ during the Cannes Lions.

Starting with the company’s slogan ‘We take care of you’, here is all you need to know about Cuchara de Palo.

  • MORE THAN 10 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Cuchara de Palo has been providing catering services for the cinema and advertising industries for more than 10 years. Since 2012, we have carried out more than 2,500 projects in which we had the opportunity to work hand in hand with main production companies, brands and artists in Spain and Portugal.

  • THE CREW’S ENERGY AND HEALTH

Since the customer is the most important asset, the service is planned with the goal of providing a full experience while taking care of their diet and health. The balance between the lightness of healthy food and the imperative need of energy, between the pleasure that comes with a lunch and the agility and speed needed to tend to a big crew working to the fullest.

Cuchara de Palo differentiates itself from other catering companies by providing the filming sets with the best lunches, personalised diets that follow the latest trends and needs, international food, light and healthy food that preserves the colours, textures and energy of a balanced diet.

  • SUSTAINABILITY

Reducing the carbon footprint has been one of the company’s goals since 2012. Cuchara de Palo is committed to sustainability in all phases of their production process and all relationships with their customers and suppliers. From the right management of waste and the reduction of animal proteins to limit the damage produced by intensive farming, to reducing the use of plastics and consuming proximity products. The company believes that every single person can make a valuable contribution to this collective challenge.

  • LOGISTICS AND PROJECT ORIENTATION

Their calling is to give a Premium service while taking care of each project’s logistic challenges. With this premise, they try to give a specific service, adapted to the organisation needs of every production and the requirements of each crew and customer.

To achieve this they have specialised staff, including chefs, transporters and production specialists that individually take care of the challenges that come with each filming. This would not be possible if it was not for the numerous workers that are able to adapt to the circumstances and a group of first-level suppliers that make the task easier.

  • MADRID, VALENCIA, BARCELONA

Since the opening of its headquarters in Barcelona at the beginning of 2022, the company has three logistic centres from where they can manage projects taking place anywhere in the peninsular territory and Canary Islands in the best way possible. In each centre there is a crew of local professionals, experienced with the idiosyncrasy and particularities of each region.

This geographical distribution allows them to share their knowledge no matter the territory.
