A. 9 – 10 May This is what Next was like, creativity festival in Sitges

Sitges Next 2024 was held on 9 and 10 May, with a firm commitment to visionary minds. It is the festival dedicated to promoting innovation in communication for brands, agencies, start-ups and technological creators. Two days to establish new connections, nourish and inspire us, with the aim of making a relevant contribution to the transformation in the way we will communicate in the coming years.

For the second year in a row, Sitges Next 24 was accompanied by the Impact Awards and the Catalonia Marketing and Communication Night. The alliance with the Col-legi Oficial del Marketing i la Comunicació allows Sitges to become the capital of communication and a meeting point for professionals from all over the country.

B. 21 – 22 May There’s nothing left for the D&AD Festival!

D&AD Festival returns to London this 2024 in a new location at London’s Southbank Centre, Queen Elizabeth Hall, from 21-22 May. They will be joined by creative leaders from Google DeepMind, COLLINS, EA Sports, TikTok and GANNI.

Over 80 international speakers, over two days and two stages, live and interactive masterclasses, award-winning breakout sessions led by global creative leaders, plus a sneak peek at shortlisted work from the D&AD Awards 2024. The Festival exists to celebrate the creative excellence that influences us today and to push the industry to be better tomorrow.

Keynote speakers will explore the challenges facing the creative industry today, such as embracing emerging technologies and achieving long-term sustainable impact for businesses. Live jury briefings will discuss themes from the winning work of the more than 350 global creative leaders who will be present in London to judge the D&AD Awards.

The two-day event will culminate with the D&AD Awards Ceremony on 22 May, honouring the best in global creativity.

C. 30 – 31 May El Sol: Malaga will once again enjoy a historic publicity campaign

El Sol, the Ibero-American Festival of Advertising Communication, in collaboration with the APCP (Association of Advertising Film Producers) and the Festival Cíclope, has prepared a special selection of reels to celebrate the 38th edition of the festival, so that the people of Malaga can enjoy a Panzá of good advertising.

To highlight talent and inspiration through ingenious, creative and exciting reels that have left their mark on the advertising industry, the marathon session will include the Festival Cíclope reel, a careful selection of the festival’s highlights. The APCP reel, winning or nominated spots in the last year at festivals such as El Sol, the CdeC, the OJO, Lions, ADD, Cíclope and El Lápiz, among others. And finally, the history of El Sol, which includes the major film awards from the first edition of the festival in 1986 to the present day.

The city of Malaga will enjoy this special reel projection in two nights of Panzá with more than 10,000 seconds of advertising. The event is open to the public and free of charge and will be held on the nights of Thursday 30 and Friday 31 from 20:30h at the Albéniz cinema, with the support of the City Council and the University of Málaga. Tickets can already be purchased both at the box office, from 16.00h to 21.00h, and online through UNITICKET.
