  • Freeda organises its first Pride festival

Freeda Fest: Pride 2022 is here! This 28 June was International LGTBQ+ Pride Day, and Freeda Media wanted to give a voice to the new generations in favour of diversity. That’s why they organised the first Pride festival and celebrated it in style, inaugurating Pride month.

The programme included a live screening of some of their most emblematic video formats, as well as various workshops and live musical performances accompanied by a Cervezas San Miguel corner.

The event began with a talk or as they call it the Freeda Talks, in which they wanted to give voice to members of the collective such as Arturo Góngora, Daya and Koko. The theme of the event revolved around inclusivity in different approaches, sex and its possibilities, and the reality of transgender people, all of this in conjunction with the #DoAsAlliesDo campaign sponsored by C&A.

In addition, Freeda Fest continued with a workshop on voguing, a type of African-American dance from the 80s that was born in the heart of the LGTBIQ+ community, led by Jayce from the International Gorgeous House of Gucci. And the festival concluded with the presentation of J&B’s new Pride 2022 campaign and a series of videos produced by Freeda, plus the final performance by drag queen Porca, a cocktail party and DJ set by Pepino Marino.

  • IV Branded Content & eSports Forum at Callao City Lights.

On Tuesday, the IV Branded Content & eSports Forum organised by La Publicidad took place. This 2022 was held in none other than Callao City Lights. Through a hybrid format, more than 100 people were able to attend in person, while around 500 followed the forum through a live broadcast on the newspaper’s YouTube channel.

The event was held with the participation of a series of speakers, who discussed aspects related to branded content that have been gaining more and more relevance. Laura Ramos, the first to take the microphone, commented on how fundamental this tool is for eSports and then Luis Movilla highlighted the current role of users, who in a short time have managed to go from being mere spectators to creating their own content.

Meanwhile, Abel Delgado left a series of keys to really connect with the public, “(branded content) goes much further than talking about audiences… it’s about connecting with people. Each person is a different entity and must be addressed in a different way”, highlighting the importance of connecting through the screen. They were also joined by Silvia Fernández Medrano, María Rodríguez-Rabadán and Ion Araluce.

A panel discussion with Alfonso García-Valenzuela, Francisco González, Jaume Ros and Juan Luis Cano brought the IV Forum to a close with a final mention of the communication and content created around specific brands in advertising.

This month you can find in La Publicidad, an article with all the information and photographs that took place during the Forum.
