Publicidad Sí and the Spanish Association of Advertisers bring us: The Global DEI Census

By June 25, 2021 News No Comments

The pandemic has increased inequalities everywhere and our industry is not immune. Change is inevitable and must begin as soon as possible. Our sector needs a global baseline on diversity, equality and inclusion.

It is for this reason that the Spanish Association of Advertisers is sharing a survey through the Publicidad Sí platform, of which we are part, thus inviting us to participate in this questionnaire that has been launched globally.

This is the first study on Diversity and Inclusion to be carried out in the advertising industry at a global level (“The Global DEI Census”). An unprecedented act of unity by the marketing and advertising industry.

The aim of the census is to assess where the global advertising and marketing industries stand in relation to diversity, equity and inclusion by investigating the composition of the global advertising and marketing workforce, people’s perceptions of diversity and inclusion in the workplace, including their sense of belonging and progress.

We think this is a great opportunity and an interesting initiative for us to get involved in this increasingly important issue. Contributing to be guarantors of ethical and responsible advertising, disseminating messages of a social nature and creating a new advertising model.

It is very important that we join forces from all countries to obtain more representative results. We encourage you to take a few minutes to complete the survey, which will remain active until 2 July. You can do it through the following link: https://kantarinsights.fra1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_aeIETsOlYwl074y

The results will be analysed by Kantar; key findings will be published by Campaign and its network of editions in October.

In turn, the data from the study will form the basis of an action plan designed and led by the WFA’s Diversity and Inclusion Working Group, which aims to work with Kantar and Campaign over the next eighteen months to measure the progress of the research.
