The Responsible Tourism Institute (RTI) is the world’s largest certification organisation for sustainable tourism, with international representation and maximum guarantee. For more than 20 years, the RTI has been promoting responsible tourism at an international level, helping all those involved in the tourism sector to develop a new way of travelling and getting to know our Planet.
RTI has a collaboration agreement with SDSN-Spain to develop the connection between the 2030 Agenda and tourism through Biosphere, accompanying and advising destinations and companies in a continuous improvement towards the “Horizon 2030” according to the sustainability goals set by the United Nations.
The Biosphere© logo and seals are a global trust mark that helps companies, consumers, tourism owners and managers and other stakeholders to identify and promote products and services from tourism providers that align their management and business activity with sustainability.

The ultimate goal of the RTI is to guide the tourism actions and policies of a destination towards sustainable development, as well as to generate synergies between local companies that favour the development of sustainable experiences and products, positioning the destination and its companies in the tourism market in a responsible manner.
