  • Sign up for the conference “Madrid and the Future of the Audiovisual Sector”.
    The international conference “Madrid and the Future of the Audiovisual Sector”, will be held on 1 March at 9.00h, specifically in the WPP auditorium at Ríos Rosas 26 in Madrid.

The organisers stress that “the aim is to explore the challenges, opportunities and talent of the audiovisual industry in the Madrid region. This sector is one of the most dynamic industries with the highest growth and foreign investment. For this reason, it has become a priority for the administrations of both the City Council and the Community of Madrid”.

During the event, success stories will be presented by professionals from the sector.

The AICP Awards are just around the corner. These awards, which in their own words, “honour marketing communications in the moving image”, return in several categories in 2023: AICP Show: The Art & Technique of the Commercial, The AICP Next Awards, and The AICP Post Awards.

For all of them, the deadline for entries is 6 March, so don’t wait any longer!

  • C-Day will celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Creativity and commercial communication come together at C Day (24-25 March), an event organised by the Club de Creativos, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary.

To mark this special occasion, the c de c has also defined the theme of the event: “This year’s edition will serve to celebrate the fact that we have been paying tribute to creativity, reflecting and debating on it for two decades. But also to highlight one of the qualities that most represents this industry. ATTITUDE. A mobilising and necessary quality in these uncertain times; it is the engine that makes things happen and is always found in the clients, agencies, production companies, media and people we most admire”.

Reflecting on themes such as reinvention and identity, they will feature speakers and guests including Pelle Sjoenell, Laura Visco, Gustavo Lauria and Eduardo Casanova.

We would also like to remind you that the registration period for the Juan Mariano Mancebo Prize ends on 13 February.

  • The Young Director Awards are now open for entries.

The Young Director Awards are back in 2023 for their 26th edition. Registration is now open, so that young talent can take part in an event which, as the awards state, “offers young filmmakers an unbeatable opportunity to forge relationships in the entertainment industry. Most of the members of the jury come from the production industry”.

They also highlight the careers of some of the previous participants, who have gone on to have great professional careers and who started out by entering the YDAs.

  • El Sol has a new look.

The Ibero-American Advertising Communication Festival, organised by the Asociación de Creatividad Transformadora (ACT), has a new image.

Known as El Sol (The Sun), the festival refers to the star with multiple yellow circles. As shared by the media, “The new brand identity has been created by Pink and has been presented at a press conference, held at the offices of the agency PS21, which was attended by Germán Silva, CEO of Pink and Vice President of the ACT, and Miguel Olivares, General Creative Director of La Despensa and Director of El Sol”.

Its next edition will take place on 8 and 9 June in Málaga.
