2021 is the year that marks the start of the post-pandemic recovery and the advertising industry is one of the first to show signs of improved economic prospects.

The 23rd edition of the Effectiveness Awards is presented with the second highest number of entries, 217, just 5 cases behind the record of 2017 when 222 were reached. And they are almost twice as many as the last edition, marked by the pandemic with 110 entries.

With 105 advertisers and 108 agencies taking part in this year’s awards, the sector’s desire to highlight the value of what advertising means and contributes to the development of companies in this country is also evident. What’s more, this edition has 30 new advertisers and 33 agencies entering for the first time.

Among all the categories, we will see cases of brands that are aware of the problems of citizens at such a special time of pandemic, companies that are committed to being sustainable, with a commitment to the environment, to the economy and savings, to the way of life, to diversity and, in short, with a focus on people and their needs in such a special situation.

As for the sectors entering the competition, there is a very heterogeneous map with more and less affected by the pandemic, from the administration, food and beverages, associations, automotive, banking, cosmetics, sports, distribution, entertainment, catering, health, insurance, telephony, tourism, internet sales, etc.

These awards comprise a history of 730 trophies awarded, all of which are models of success for industry professionals, universities and business schools to study.

The Effectiveness Awards represent the excellence of bringing together three fundamental pillars: a winning strategy based on consumer insight, an outstanding creative transformation to excite the audience and make the product proposition relevant, and the delivery of results. All this is what gives importance to the word effectiveness.

This very special event will be held at the Teatro Real, on 28th October, in an event that is expected to be in person, although it will also be broadcast via streaming.
