1. Instawards 2022

Facebook announces the 5th edition of the Instawards Awards. The call is open from February 1st to March 14th 2022.

All communication pieces created for a commercial brand, in which a creator/talent/influencer has participated and which have been disseminated on Instagram between January 1st 2021 and March 14th 2022 are eligible to participate.

Registration will take place online, is free of charge and each company will be able to register a maximum of 5 pieces.

REGISTRATION:

In order for entries to be effective. The entire registration process must be completed here.

It is compulsory to include, in pdf format, the client’s APPROVAL FORM, completed and stamped/signed. The form can be downloaded from the website, in the registration area.

The pieces in the competition must be submitted in video format, each work in a single file.

A jury made up of professionals from Meta’s Creative Shop, creators and professionals from the advertising industry will choose the three best pieces, which will receive a gold, silver or bronze award.

The jury will evaluate the creativity, execution and added value of the creator.

The winners will become part of the Spanish Creativity Yearbook.

2. El sol doesn’t wait

The deadline for registration of campaigns, sending the material and paying the registration fee is April 25th 2022.

The 36th edition of El Sol will be held on the 1st and 2nd of June 2022 in Madrid, and for another year it will continue vindicating creativity as a transformative force and business driver. All the activities will take place in person and the awards ceremony will be held at the Teatro Circo Price. 

c) Ivo Van Vollenhoven of Twentyfour Seven, Jonas Hendrix and Alvaro Weber of Smile and Zico Judge of Blur on the AICP Awards jury

The jury for the AICP Awards has been announced and this year our production companies will be represented by: 

  • Ivo Van Vollenhoven, CEO of Twentyfour Seven, in the Directing category. 
  • Alvaro Weber, founder, MD and executive producer of Smile, in the Advertising Excellence/Campaign category.
  • Jonas Hendrix, partner and executive producer of Smile, in the Best New Director category.
  • Zico Judge, partner and executive producer of Blur, in the Best New Director category.

The deadline for entries is March 28th. Work must have been broadcast/first released between: April 26th 2021 – April 3rd 2022.

The AICP Awards comprise the AICP Show, The Art & Technique of the Commercial, AICP Next Awards and AICP Post Awards. Each competition honours marketing communications in the moving image. The AICP Post Awards are presented each May, in rotating locations between Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. 

The AICP Show and AICP Next Awards premiere in New York City each June, before touring cultural and educational institutions across the country.

d) The Netherlands will be the guest country at the 5th edition of the Madrid Women’s Film Festival

The Focus section of the 5th edition of the Madrid Women’s Film Festival will be dedicated to the Netherlands with the intention of giving visibility to the talent and work of Dutch women directors and bringing their vision of the world to Spanish audiences.

The 5th edition of the Women’s Film Festival will be held from October 25 th to November 6th 2022 in a mixed and multiple screen format, in 13 movie theatres in Madrid, online on Filmin and on television on 8madrid TV, with a varied selection of recent national and international feature films.

With more than 10 specific sections, including the International Competition at the Círculo de Bellas Artes and the Spanish Women Filmmakers Competition at the Sala Berlanga of the SGAE Foundation, both with feature films competing for awards; the festival will give special visibility in its sections to the cinematography of Swedish, Mexican, Chinese, French, Italian and South American women directors. And to the “Outstanding Creators” section at the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum.

To celebrate its first five years and coinciding with the week of Women’s Day, the Women’s Film Festival is changing and modernising its corporate image. Thanks to the work of the design studio El vivero, the logo has been revamped, making it more versatile and dynamic, and the image will be improved in all its communication platforms.
