Curro Palma, the previous Director General of Contrapunto BBDO in Madrid, is the new Director General of c de c, replacing Álvaro Olalquiaga.

Palma, who was selected the last 1st of September, has been working in the industry for more than 20 years. After working with a great deal of brands (some of which are very recognisable, like Sony PlayStation or DGT) and his period at TBWA Spain, he welcomes this change, stating that ‘working in the c de c is a true honour and a dream. However, representing the awesome team of the c de c also entails a lot of responsibility, so I must work hard to reciprocate the trust that they have in me with all my might and doses of passion’.

In addition, taking his professional career into account, he mentions the enormous respect he feels towards the association: ‘After working in both sides of the business introducing creativity as much as I could in my day-to-day life, taking this step represents a huge feeling of pride, of belonging to the position I am at’.

An advertising career on which c de c has decided trust, due to his extensive knowledge about today’s industry: ‘he has acquired a deep understanding of the national audiovisual industry and mastered with his characteristic passion all marketing disciplines’.

Also, this position has a special meaning for Palma due to the relevance of the c de c in the industry: ‘For me, the Club de Creativos (The Creatives’ Club) represent, to put it simply, the glue that keeps advertisers, agencies, producers, media and the advertising industry entities together to acknowledge the value of the most powerful tool we all possess, one capable of moving turn things around in the business sphere: creativity’.

Creativity, a value that Palma will, without doubt, boost as the Director General of an entity that waves the flag for it.
