We started 2022 with a number of masterclasses where we talked about various topics in relation with the industry. It was a project we were very excited to make reality, and we could not be more grateful for the support and happy with the results.

Our goal was to bring together amazing professionals and a diversity of departments, essential for the production process, to get to know more about them and professionalise the industry.

The first one was focused on green shooting. Daniel Hinojosa, Executive VFX Supervisor at NOH,was in charge of explaining the world of virtual backgrounds, to teach about the new different ways to film that exist today, how this technology has advanced and how it is used in advertisement productions.

Perig Guinamant, cinematographic and advertising editor, talked about the role of the film editors, what is their role, how they contribute  to the campaign, as well as the techniques and tools they use that make the editing easier.

The economist and attorney José Miguel Nieto, Nieto Pretel’s Associate Director, dissected the information about how the actual legal regulations affect the audiovisual production industry during his presentation about tax law and legality, as well as what entails for the industry the latest labour reform and hiring contracts.

The last masterclass was led by Cristina Perales, casting director. It was a very dynamic and participatory class where she talked with the attending people about how directing actors work in the world of advertising and cinematographic industries.
