Progress leads the way

The year 2021 has been full of new projects and hopes, and we’ll tell you a little more about our progress over the last few months.

Adapting to the world of the coronavirus has been a challenge for all sectors, including advertising film production. At the APCP we like to swim against the tide, accept challenges, face them and of course win them.

In order to start a big change, it is necessary to know what we are going to face. At the end of 2020 we worked together with SCOPEN and carried out a study on the economic impact of advertising film production. The results, presented in February this year, laid the groundwork and guidelines for the sector.

In March, we worked against the clock on an unexpected but long-awaited project. On the occasion of International Working Women’s Day, we presented Mujeres (Women).

An audiovisual project directed by Beatriz Abad, inspired by the poem “Mujeres” (Women) by Andrea Valbuena, in honour of all the women in the world and produced by APCP’s production company, Only 925.

We worked very hard to make this tribute to all the women who inspire with their talent every day a reality. Women who are in the majority, both in number and merit, and whose recognition has been a minority throughout history.

We loaded our suitcases full of dreams and motivation, setting off once again this year on our journey to Malaga. There we were able to enjoy the III edition of the Commercial Film Production Workshop, a meeting in a face-to-face format, held on 9th June.

Composed of four presentations, the conference dealt with diverse topics of interest to the sector such as: the local industry in Malaga; inspiration and technique with examples of recent successful commercials; the conditioning of age for women to work in the profession; and the impact of Brexit on advertising film in Spain.

Between suitcase and suitcase, we had time to cross the country and arrive in San Sebastian to collect the grand prize.

At the APCP we don’t just stop at success, we continue to work day by day, together with the public administrations, so that the international market can operate in an agile and fluid way, facilitating permits and thus favouring the carrying out of international filming in our country.

This is as far as we can go. For the moment we cannot predict the future, but we can tell you that you should reserve a space in your agenda.

We are currently focused on working in our next big event, so that on 19th and 20th October 2021 we can enjoy the VIII Commercial Film Workshop in Valladolid

Life is one big party and we still have a lot to celebrate. Let’s continue to enjoy it together!
