    1. Night Breakers’ international airing at the SXSW Festival

    As we have told you plenty of times our production companies are unstoppable and today we want to tell you about the short film Night Breakers, produced by the production company Oxígeno and directed and written by Gabriel Campoy and Guillem Lafoz.

    Night Breakers was awarded as Best Short Film at the Fantástik Film Festival, it will have its international premiere at the SXSW Film Festival, from March 11th. It will be one of the 9 short films presented in this year’s Midnight Shorts programme.

    This short film is about the tough journey to the illuminated city where a group of migrants make their way in their light suits. On their journey they will have to face the dangers lurking in the darkness and, worse, themselves.

2. Can you imagine going back to the 90’s?

This week the creatives club has released the 2nd episode of the Collective Creative programme, in collaboration with Instagram, dedicated to Ikea and its campaign “Trapped in the 90s”, a branded content action that blurs the line between reality, fiction and advertising, and that managed to connect with a generation, that of the 90s, difficult to access for brands.

This campaign was shot by our production company Landia and directed by Maxi Blanco.

Gabriel Ladaria, Marketing & Insights Director at IKEA Ibérica; Mia Daniela, influencer and winner of Atrapados en los 90, and Álvaro López, Group Creative Director at McCann, and Miguel Olivares, founder of La Despensa, as moderator, star in the new chapter of Collective Creative and explain how it was born and what were the keys to its succession.

Eight entertaining episodes, with all the intrigue and morbidity of a real reality show, made possible thanks to the collaboration between creator, advertiser, creative, producer, director and scriptwriter. 

What makes this filming special is mainly the format, they created a real “reality show”, a unique experience with no previous background in advertising, where 6 contestants of 25 years old, lived 4 days in an environment (unknown to them) set in the 90 ́s, without internet, without mobile phones, with faxes and with many tests ahead to aspire to various prizes from Ikea.

The challenge at production level goes through all the phases, from the creative process of the design of the programme in question, a super exhaustive casting at national level of young generators of digital content, the finding of the studio El Álamo, the construction and recreation of the space set in the 90 ́s under the artistic direction of Iván Triviño, the meticulous design of sound and installation of multiple cameras, lighting by the hand of Adisar.

They counted on two relevant figures from the world of TV, the scriptwriter Teresa Colomina and the director Santy García, experts in reality shows such as GH who, together with Maxi Blanco, contributed to the gestation and amplification of this idea that is made up of multiple pieces.
