Nowadays we are living in a world which is increasingly concerned about the environment due to the current alarming global situation of climate change.
That’s why Makkers School wants to help in your training teaching a new course about Sustainability in Filming.
There is a big “boom” in filming because they are increasing thanks to the streaming websites. So the workload is expected to keep growing. And for a while now, audiovisual productions have been asking for a new department: the sustainability department.
Since this is something quite new in the industry, not many people are fully trained and qualified to work in this new department, and those who are, aren’t enough to deal with the current and expected volume of work.
This course is something necessary in the industry so that the current audiovisual offer in Spain can be covered.
The course is essentially practical. The purpose of the course is to train future Eco Managers to start working as Eco Assistants and/or Eco-Runners.
With the coordination of the course in the hands of Mrs. Greenfilm (www.mrsgreenfilm.com), one of the specialized companies in the sector, we give you the opportunity to learn the main concepts of such a specific profession with so many professional opportunities. We will provide you with all the necessary tools to get to know the sustainability department to perfection so that you can work in it as an Eco-Assistant or Eco-Runner in an audiovisual production (film, TV series or advertising). This is the way to start and to become a future Eco-Manager leading the department.
Once you are done with the training you will be part of the Makkers and Mrs. Greenfilm’s job banks. There are many production companies collaborating with them, as well as active teaching collaborators who constantly ask them for trained people who can cover all the necessary positions within all the departments.
The training lasts 32 hours. You have the option to come to class in person (they are in the Argüelles, Madrid) or you can connect live to the online classes. If you miss any of them, you can replay them remotely. Classes are held on Wednesdays and Fridays, from 4 pm to 8 pm. The course starts on May 11th, 2022, and ends on June 3rd 2022.
This training price is 475€. If you are part of any Makkers partner associations (apcp, atpe, etc.). If you belong to one of their partner production companies or if you are a direct collaborator (teacher or any other type), they will give you a €50 discount on the final price, turning into €425.
