C. Convocation of the XI edition of the Pepón Coromina Award

The Catalan Film Academy has opened the inscriptions to participate in the 11th Pepón Coromina Award. Until May 6 at 15.00h is open the registration period for the 11th edition of the Pepón Coromina Award, the Academy’s award to recognize the risk, innovation and creativity in honor and recognition of the work carried out by the producer Pepón Coromina.

As indicated in the Rules, Catalan audiovisual works (feature films, medium-length films and short films) premiered, broadcast or presented during 2023 are eligible for the award; as well as contributions by Catalan talent to audiovisual works presented during 2023 in Catalonia or anywhere in the world.

The professionals and works awarded in the edition of the XVI Gaudí Awards are automatically excluded from the call for entries. Register here.

D. Efikacia 2024 Awards: the 26th edition of the Efikacia 2024 Awards kicks off with the opening of entries

The Spanish Association of Advertisers’ (AEA) Effectiveness Awards, which are strategically advised by SCOPEN, kick off the 2024 edition with the opening of the registration period, which runs from April 8 to May 31. 

At the head of the jury, as president, is Rafael Fernández de Alarcón, Global Director of Brand, Sponsorships and Media of Telefónica, who will be accompanied by:

This year, as a technical novelty, the leading agency that wins the Grand Prize will score 5 points compared to the previous 3. And, to qualify for the Agency of the Year award, the leading agency must have won a trophy in any of the categories and have had a short list of finalist cases from at least three different clients. On the other hand, as usual, this edition will also include the Eficacia Seminar, to be held on May 7; the International Conference, in early October; the Jury Club meetings, in spring and autumn; and the Eficacia Universities Program, now in its sixth edition, which is of increasing interest to advertising companies and to universities and study centers in competition, will continue.

To date, since 1997, 3,807 cases have been registered, 861 trophies have been awarded, 1,007 advertisers and 619 agencies have participated, with new companies competing for the first time in each edition.

Coca-Cola continues to lead the ranking of winning advertisers, while McCann continues to lead the ranking of agencies. The Effectiveness Awards are also part of the WARC Effective 100 world ranking. The awards gala will take place on October 24 at the Teatro Real in Madrid. In this edition the sponsors are JCDecaux, Jungle, NewixMedia, OMG and Vocento Medios. Collaborating with the Premios a la Eficacia are the Asociación de Agencias de Medios (am), the Asociación de Agencias de Creatividad Transformadora (ACT), the Asociación Española de Planificadores Estratégicos (APG Spain), AUTOCONTROL, the Branded Content Marketing Association (BCMA), the Club de Creativos (c de c), and Insights + Analytics España (i+a).
