El Sol, Ibero-American Festival of Advertising Communication, with the aim of recognizing and rewarding the most innovative and effective campaigns in the field of health and wellness, incorporates Health as a new section in its 38th edition.

El Sol seeks to recognize those projects that have managed to communicate in an innovative, differential and effective way the importance of prevention, treatment and research in the field of health. For Natxo Díaz, Global head of craft at VML Health and member of the Jury of the 38th edition of El Sol: “Historically, El Sol has been the most prestigious Ibero-American festival, so it is very important for our sector, and its growth and creative consolidation, that in this edition there is again a place for health advertising. I think it also makes a lot of sense that it happens at this precise moment when El Sol is once again shining brightly and creativity in health has been growing strongly in recent years in the region, with great ideas that have a global impact. To be able to celebrate all of them at El Sol is great news for all of us who are dedicated to this. Also, on a personal level, I am especially happy and proud to be part of a Jury full of great professionals whom I admire, and to have the blessedly great responsibility of defining the standard of quality that will mark the next editions.”

The new section will be divided into 5 categories: Health and Wellness, to recognize and reward pieces and campaigns that highlight the promotion of over-the-counter products and services, as well as public education to encourage self-diagnosis and self-care; Pharma, intended for pieces or campaigns aimed at specific professionals and patient communities related to disease management; Pathology Awareness, campaigns carried out by public or private institutions aimed at disseminating health messages; Animal Welfare and Veterinary, campaigns and projects that have contributed significantly to the promotion of animal health; and Health Innovation, initiatives and projects that have incorporated innovative solutions in everything related to Health and welfare.
