Service International in Spain: APCP makes the impossible possible

At 12:00, a round table discussion took place on International Service is possible in Spain. The participants were: Juan Cano Trujillo “Nono”, CEO and Executive Producer of Sur Film; Bea Fluxà, Line Producer of Sur Film; Pepa Jordá of Valencia Film Office (Brand Management Area); and Gordon Mackinnon, Managing Partner and Executive Producer of Twentyfour Seven. On this occasion, Belén Garau, Founder and Service Producer of The Local Production Company, was the moderator.

Bea Fluxa began the round table by calling for an end to the complexes regarding service in Spain. It is no longer a question of whether or not it is possible, it is already a reality. With a multitude of examples of international films, it is clear that these are high-level international projects.

Juan Cano Trujillo “Nono” related projects that were screened in the theatre with Valencia and the facilities that the Film Office has given them to film. With very large projects, such as Star Wars, transparency is essential and with very controlled production designs. He stressed the importance of having direct contact with Film Commissions and public institutions.

From Twentyfour Seven, Gordon Mackinnon also showed examples of successful service productions. For him, the service was based on trust with the client, location scouting… for them this translated into a budget increase.
