Last Tuesday was International Women’s Day and during this month different activities are being carried out to claim women’s rights in our sector.

More details about these events:

“Mujeres a Seguir” and “Anuncios” are organising a conference on equality and advertising that will take place today March 11th from 9:30 a.m. and you can follow it online here.

Under the title “Women and Advertising”, this hybrid event aims to share experiences, learnings and best practices on diversity management. Because agencies and advertisers can still do much more to promote equal opportunities in the sector. The time has come to move from good intentions to action.

The “Women and Advertising” conference will be divided into three round tables:

1.Diversity=creativity? It is said that diversity produces more creative and innovative organisations, but what is the relationship between both?

Speakers: Pepa Rojo (Meta), Emiliano Gonzalez de Pietri (McCann), Marisa Manzano (Prisa Media) and Kika Samblás (Scopen).

2.Being part of the solution and not part of the problem. How advertising can use its mobilising power to launch messages that propose a fairer vision of society.

Speakers: Elena Gris (Hyundai), Ainhoa Oyarbide (Eroski), Robert Hernández (Havas Media) and Ester García Cosín (Havas Media Group España).

3.How to go from boss to leader. Now more than ever, society, companies and people need different leadership formulas that work in this new work paradigm.

Speakers: Mónica Moro (c de c), Ainhara Viñarás (Shiseido), Patricia Pomies (Globant) and Isabel Ontoso (Viajes El Corte Inglés).

Yesterday took place the second conference organised by RAMPA with two great film professionals:

Beatriz Navas Valdés is the general director of the Instituto de la Cinematografía y las Artes Audiovisuales of the Ministry of Culture and Sport. Throughout her career, she has been a curator and programmer in the audiovisual departments of different institutions. She has also published numerous articles, the book “Y ahora, lo importante”, and is co-founder of the online platform for avant-garde and independent film PLAT.

Manuela Ocón Aburto is a film researcher, has 3 Goya nominations to her credit and has received the ASECAN 2021 Award for the best film book. During her lecture she presented her new publication on “Gender inequality in managerial positions in the creation of fiction production and time management”.

If you couldn’t see it, don’t worry, here it is

These meetings were born as an initiative of the RAMPA Platform with the intention of contributing to the specific training of women in the audiovisual sector and supporting their talent throughout the film production value chain (creation and training > production and reproduction > promotion and marketing > distribution and commercialisation > consumption and accessibility) with the aim of combating their historical discrimination.

Two of the scheduled sessions have already taken place, the next ones will be:
