2. APCP WEEK presenter Johann Wald!

This year we will have the pleasure of having one of the most versatile faces of Spanish television as the presenter of the conference, the great Johann Wald.

Let’s find out a little more about him:

Johann Wald discovered his passion for film sets at the precocious age of 13 when Roy Hamilton, head of set construction at Shepperton Studios, took him along as a translator while filming a beer commercial directed by Ridley Scott in the Guadix desert in Spain. A year later he found himself, during his summer holidays on another shoot, this time, filming a pilot for a TV series, as an actor and assistant to Gregory Dark.
actor and assistant to Gregory Dark. Many will know Johann Wald from his work as a DJ/music presenter on channels such as MTV, Cuatro or TVE, and those who move between concert halls, festivals and decadent clubs will be familiar with his sessions as a DJ or music selector, as he defines himself. But Johann is a multifaceted artist, as he combines his usual activities with his new career, in which he is putting all his efforts to become a great “Chef” and to achieve his dream of combining his two great passions, Television and Cooking. And he has achieved this with his programme “Muy Johann” on Canal Cocina.

After graduating from Sunny View International School, he moved to Madrid to study film and acting. After acting in several TV commercials, his break came at the end of 2002, when the head of MTV Spain, Stefano Orsucci, saw a home video of Johann goofing around, called him for a casting and that’s how Johann became an MTV presenter.

In 2005, he started working in CUATROSFERA with KIRA MIRÓ in CUATRO channel, for 2 seasons, with a great success of audience. Johann’s next stop was at TVE 2, as a music reporter in NO DISPAREN AL PIANISTA, a job that included the coverage of the ROCK IN RIO festival in its first year in Madrid. He returned to MTV as a presenter until October 2011, where he continued to work occasionally on special programmes.

In 2014 he accepted the proposal to work in radio, having his own section in the program UN LUGAR LLAMADO MUNDO presented by Javier Limón in EUROPA FM.

Since 2015, in addition to being focused on his facet as a Chef, he continues to do events for brands, mainly as a PRESENTER and CEREMONY MASTER.

In 2018 he was selected to be the presenter of the MOVISTAR STREET BASKET TOUR event, which tours several Spanish cities, including VALENCIA, MÁLAGA, BILBAO and MADRID.

And now he will be joining us on the 29th and 30th of September at the APCP WEEK!!!

3. The APCP has teamed up with Creast to make the 10th Conference sustainable.

At the APCP we are aware of the complicated environmental situation and of the urgency of providing effective solutions for a sector in growing development and which has an enormous impact on the planet.

Creast, a pioneering company in the measurement of the carbon footprint specialised in the audiovisual sector, will once again collaborate in the sustainability of the next Valencia Conference. The keys to making the event carbon neutral are:

  • Effective solutions to predict the carbon footprint of the event.
  • Integrate sustainability criteria that reduce emissions.
  • Measurement of the carbon footprint verified by evidence.
  • An offset plan for your carbon footprint.
  • An official certificate valid at international level.

In order to calculate the carbon footprint of the X Jornadas, Creast will work closely with the APCP production team and all the suppliers involved in the project. Once the event design is in place, the carbon footprint is predicted and then a sustainability plan is drawn up to try to reduce it as much as possible. This reduction will be based on measures such as prioritising the train over the plane or carpooling, choosing sustainable hotels close to the event venue, opting for menus that include fruit or vegetables, choosing reused materials, or controlling waste and setting up recycling points.

A sustainable event is more than just an event!
