1.Ivan Redondo at c de c 2022, still without your ticket?

Ivan Redondo is one of the best-known political consultants in Spain. Between 2018 and 2021 he held the position of director of the Cabinet of the Presidency of the Government of Pedro Sánchez. He has also been Secretary of State and Secretary of the National Security Council. He currently writes for the newspaper La Vanguardia and is a director of the Godó Group.

This native of San Sebastián, formerly head of the Government Cabinet from 2018 to 2021, has advised three politicians from the opposite wing and from different autonomous regions: the former mayor of Badalona, Xavier García Albiol, the former president of Extremadura, José Antonio Monago, and the Basque MP Antonio Basagoiti. In other words, he has shown himself capable of transcending ideology, whatever it may be, and focusing on the person, in order to generate a favourable perception of that person. This is perhaps what sets him apart.

2. First Eficacia Training Seminar, presentation of Trophies of the Universities Programme and Jury

The 24th edition of the Effectiveness Awards will be inaugurated on 5 May with the Effectiveness Seminar, which will explain the novelties in the categories to adapt them, as they explain, to the new market trends, with the incorporation of new awards, and will detail the Grand Prize 2021 “With a lot of accent”, by Cruzcampo and Ogilvy, as well as other success stories of branded content, sustainability or how to make a content relevant for a brand.

The awards of the 3rd edition of the Eficacia Universidades Programme, with which the Spanish Association of Advertisers tries to bring companies closer to the university world, will also be presented. In this competition, the Francisco de Vitoria University was the overall winner.

The Eficacia Awards gala will be held on 27 October and will once again be held at the Teatro Real in Madrid.

The jury that will accompany Jaume Alemany, made up of eleven professionals, will analyse the best cases of commercial communication in Spain:

3. FIAP opens its registrations

The Ibero-American Festival of Creativity is now open for entries. Pieces registered before 16 May will receive a 10% discount on the registration fee. 

FIAP will be held with more than 200 of the most representative juries in the region. It will also have an alliance with the most important awards of each country in Ibero-America, whose winners who decide to compete in FIAP will be able to do so by entering directly into the finalist phase, as the festival values and recognises the work done by the juries of these competitions.

As part of the global transformation, FIAP continues with its evaluation method that enhances the value of local awards and recognises the work done by the Agency Associations or Creative Circles that organise them. The 2022 award categories are: Formats, Innovation, Ads and Production.

This division reflects the impressive change in the industry, particularly in the relationship with brands, agencies, media, production and distribution according to the reality of audiences, communication, entertainment and technology. In addition to this, every year we have a prestigious jury.

4. El Sol announces its conferences
The Sun has announced its speakers. They will be inspiring conferences that will offer a vision of creativity and innovation from a different point of view to that of advertising.

5. Don’t miss Spain’s meeting point at Cannes Lions

This year Cannes Lions will be held from 20 to 24 June and Spanish advertising cinema will have its own meeting point thanks to the collaboration between ICEX, ALÍA and APCP.

We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 21 June from 17:00h to 21:00h in the gardens of the Grand Hotel.
