The Official State Gazette publishes an extract of the Order of 6 July 2022, which establishes the regulatory bases for the granting of aid by the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures and announces the granting of aid for experimental development projects and process innovation through technologies associated with the Metaverse and Web 3 called within the framework of the Plan to Boost the Audiovisual Sector.
Grants will be awarded for:
- Prototyping or innovative processes of new audiovisual production tools and digital content.
- Prototypes or innovative processes that make use of the technologies associated with the Metaverse and Web 3 for social transformation and the integration of disadvantaged groups, especially with regard to the gender gap.
- Creation of new virtual work and collaboration spaces.
- Prototypes or innovative processes that implement the technologies associated with the Metaverse in cultural, health or educational environments
Beneficiaries:
Beneficiaries of this aid may be professionals registered in the Special Scheme for Self-Employed Workers, small and medium-sized enterprises and microenterprises that are of Spanish nationality or of any Member State of the European Union or of the signatory States of the Agreement on the European Economic Area and are tax resident in Spain.
Objective:
In addition to boosting the digitisation and competitiveness of Spanish companies in the sector, the objective of the aid is to promote the integration of women in the audiovisual industry, for which it will be necessary to have a minimum of 25% of women within the project in order to have the status of beneficiary and to maintain this percentage throughout the project.
Amount:
The total amount available for this call is €3.8 million.
Deadline for submission of applications:
The deadline for submission of applications will be open from 4 to 31 August.
