Valencia has been the city chosen by the Association of Advertising Film Producers to organise the Advertising Film Production Conference, an annual meeting that brings together professionals from the audiovisual advertising production sector. From 29th to 30th September, the Talia Theatre will host different professionals from the sector to share experiences and knowledge about audiovisual productions applied to the field of advertising.
The València City Council, through the València Film Office, will be the host for this tenth edition, which will also have the collaboration of Film Valencia, Benidorm Film Office-Visit Benidorm and Costa Blanca Film Commission.
Emiliano García, president of Visit València and councillor for Tourism and Internationalisation, has valued very positively that València has been chosen for the organisation of these conferences, which will be held in collaboration with the Costa Blanca Film Commission and the Benidorm Film Office. “It will allow professionals from the national audiovisual sector and, specifically, from the advertising film sector, to discover the opportunities that the city offers for their film shoots”. García stressed that “we are strongly committed to making València a Film Friendly city, promoting filming in the city and maximising the opportunities that this activity has for the development of both the local audiovisual sector and the service sector. This conference is, without a doubt, a very good promotional window”.
“We are very excited to go to a film city like Valencia, where we have shot so many commercials and especially because of the drive shown by the different Film Offices to turn Valencia into a filming-friendly city. That’s why we are sure it will be a great edition” commented Albert Soler, president of APCP. It should be noted that in 2022 the APCP will be holding the 10th edition of this Advertising Film Production Conference.
Also, within the framework of the Advertising Film Conference, the General Assembly of APCP members will take place, where this year there will be a change of presidency and the fifth edition of the APCP awards.
València is working to increase its national and international positioning as a creative and avant-garde city, and to give visibility to professionals in the creative and audiovisual sectors. Thus, among others, this year València has hosted the 36th Goya Awards, has organised the Berlanga Year, and is celebrating the World Design Capital 2022 (Valencia World Design Capital 2022) and the European Capital of Smart Tourism.
During the Advertising Film Production Conference in September, the creative and industrial activity of advertising film production companies will be presented, while promoting knowledge of new creative territories in which different companies can develop new projects, considering the city of Valencia as a great film set.
Valencia, a filming destination
Valencia Film Office caters for series and film shoots, as well as photo shoots, corporate videos, video clips and advertising spots. The latter format has the greatest impact on the city, accounting for 37% of the productions carried out in the city.
The City of Arts and Sciences is one of the major attractions for international productions that choose the architectural complex as a futuristic element in their content. Both in this unique setting and in the rest of the city’s locations, in recent years numerous commercials have been shot for major car and mobile technology brands, and photo shoots have been carried out for European fashion brands. Films and series have also chosen Valencia for their productions.
