Mujeres (Women) – Find out how this audiovisual project in honour of all women was made

On March 8th 2021, International Working Women’s Day, we presented Mujeres (Women). An audiovisual project directed by Beatriz Abad, inspired by the poem “Mujeres” by Andrea Valbuena, in honour of all the women in the world.

The idea for this project came two weeks before March 8th from the production company Only 925. And we couldn’t resist!

We worked against the clock to make this tribute ready. It was created by and for all women around the globe throughout the years. Those of the past, those of today, those of your home, those from villages, cities and the world.

From the APCP we want to pay tribute to women in all fields who inspire with their talent every day. Their recognition has been  as a minority throughout history despite being a majority in both numbers and merit.

We got down to work! To create a team and to share the idea with possible suppliers and sponsors who wanted to take part in an altruistic way. And many joined in! A proof that in difficult times there is still room for good ideas and good objectives.

We started the search and the calls to actresses, journalists, singers, sportswomen, writers, TV presenters, teachers, professors, technicians, producers, sculptors, scientists, mothers, grandmothers, students, colleagues and professional friends who did not want to miss the appointment.
