  • The AICP Awards discusses the winners’ projects

After having chosen the winners, the AICP Awards decided to review the 2022 edition on 28 July, with the judges of each of the categories analyzing the winning works. 

In this way, the experts in Los Angeles gave their opinions on the different projects and provided a much broader view of the awards. They also revealed some of the key factors that led to the winners making it to the podium, and how the decision making process unfolded. 

The event featured Scott Donaton (Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer, Hulu), Tatiana Holifield (Vice President of Digital Content and Audience Engagement, SiriusXM/Pandora) and Shannon Pruitt (Global Director of Content, Stagwell Media Network) from the AICP Next Awards Curators – 2022 AICP Next Awards Judging Chair. 

Meanwhile, from AICP Post Awards Curators – 2022 AICP Post Awards Chairperson, Yvette Cobarrubias (Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Cosmo Street), Melany Esfeld (SVP, Head of Integrated Production, Barkley) and Brandon Porter (Partner/Publisher, Nomad Editing Co) spoke. 

  • The inscriptions for the XVIII edition of “El Chupete” are already available.

A few days ago the international event, “El Chupete” opened the registration period for his long-awaited XVIII edition.

As every year, its purpose is to reward the best creative works with values, products or services aimed at children. But this 2022 is very special, since the festival celebrates its coming of age, after 18 years of being organized.

For this growth, they are renewing their 9 award categories: Film and Television, Digital and Mobile, Graphics, Music, Events, Branded Content, Communication, Social Campaign and Best Toy. 

And that’s not all, “El Chupete” with the president of the jury Germán Silva are preparing, as they themselves express “the best jury they have had till the date”. Although, it will not be until September when we can really know all their members. So take advantage and enjoy until August 31 of the reduced rate in all general registrations. 

  • FIAP AWARDS presents its first Grand Slam! They also extend their registration deadline 

Entries closed last week, but we have good news: The FIAP AWARDS have decided to extend them until August 1. 

 But this is not the only novelty, from this year the Ibero-American Festival will have its own Grand Slam. 

 All this is possible thanks to agreements with local awards in the region: Diente (Argentina), C de C (Spain), Locoto (Bolivia), Smarties (Brazil), Cúspide (Puerto Rico), Caribe (Panama), IAB Mixx (Chile), IAB Mixx (Colombia), LUX Awards (Ecuador), Círculo de Oro (Mexico), Tatakua (Paraguay), Premio Ideas (Peru), Festival CCP (Portugal), Desachate (Uruguay), Festival Volcán (Costa Rica), American Advertising Awards (US Hispanic) and FePI (Argentina).

 The initiative consists of a ranking to highlight and weight all those creative agencies that have won at local, regional (FIAP) and global (Cannes Lions) festivals. The result is obtained by adding the total number of awards got in all of them. 

 This innovative system will allow us to know more clearly the current panorama, providing a numerical value that highlights the winners of the industry. 

 In order to be part of the FIAPs, it is necessary to participate in the FIAPs and score at least one point by having obtained an award in one of the three levels indicated.  The positions will be announced around November, to end the year with the most relevant workers in the sector in 2022.

  • New categories and deadline for LIA Awards 

The LIA Awards are getting closer and closer, and with the deadline for entries on September 2, they have already begun to announce the new features of this edition. 

First of all, there are two new competitions: one on creativity in the metaverse and the other on creativity in PR. Both are closely related to current affairs, and will serve to make new proposals on how companies and brands can take advantage of the opportunities offered by new technological advances. Particularly relevant to the context of the metaverse and its endless possibilities for brands. 

Two Grand LIAs have also been added, one in Health and Wellness as well as one in Pharma and Medical Social Responsibility. Finally, there will be another in Internal Business. 

As for the key dates, all the entries will be judged from 29th of September 29 to 7th of October,, with the winners to be announced in November.

  • News about the Agripina Awards 2022

The Agripina Awards are back in their XII edition, this 2022 it will take place in Seville on Thursday, November 17. This time, the venue chosen for the celebration has been the Nissan Cartuja Auditorium.

The Agripina Awards, named after the historical Roman woman, is a communication festival focused on rewarding advertising: created to recognize the value of campaigns, they are also a meeting point for producers, media or design studios. 

The Festival, which is based on originality, focuses on encouraging it. All this trying to promote the winning projects and giving them visibility. 

In addition, focused on the educational field, workshops and courses are organized for professionals, as well as round tables and discussion forums.
