The second edition of CIMA Impulsa, an advisory and training programme created by the Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media (CIMA), with the support of Netflix and the Spanish Ministry of Culture and Sport through the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA), has revealed the twenty selected projects.
CIMA Impulsa is a programme that promotes the development of projects written by experienced or new female screenwriters to facilitate their access to the audiovisual industry.
No less than 400 projects have been received, of which the committees highlight their extremely high quality.
Of the selected projects, 45% are led by CIMA members and 20% come from Latin America.
The selection committee was formed by: Patricia Ferreira, Andrea Guzmán, Lara Pérez Camiña, Belli Ramírez, Fernando Lara, Yago Fandiño, Eva Lesmes, Chelo Loureiro, José Nolla, Inés París, Isabel Raventós, Virginia Yagüe, Cristina Andrey and Patricia Roda, CIMA IMPULSA, Netflix, ICAA.
CIMA Impulsa is not just another meeting place, it has a very special significance advocating gender equality and working to give the greatest possible visibility to women-driven cinema.
