We are excited to present the opening announcement for the rental of film sets in Gran Canaria, specifically two of them located in Las Palmas.
The specifications of both infrastructures and their surface areas cover 6,000 square m. These are big independent studios, they have all the services necessary for filming; with soundproof sets of 12 m. high and of at least 1200m2 and 18000m2. These have air-conditioned and walkways, which contain all these areas; dressing rooms, wardrobe, make-up, hairdressing, laundry and offices. In addition they also offer parking areas and adjoining land for use as backlots.
These spaces are an addition to the variety of locations that Gran Canaria has to offer. The idea that the islands are a great destination for filming is emphasized with the tax advantages they provide, of 50%. Other tax incentives that audiovisual projects can enjoy are the Canary Islands Special Zone with a reduced corporation tax of 4% (ZEC) and a General Indirect Tax in the Canary Islands of between 0% and 7% (IGIC).
Spanish and international producers can apply until 15 September, leasing the space for a minimum of 45 days and a maximum of one year.
This initiative is promoted thanks to the Cabildo de Gran Canaria, from the Sociedad de Promoción Económica de Gran Canaria, and the Gran Canaria Film Commission. The deadlines will be made for bookings to be carried out between 1 January and 31 December 2023.
