Madrid hosts the world premiere of the third season of the “Daryl Dixon” spin-off, filmed over ten months across eight autonomous communities.

The spin-off starring Norman Reedus and Melissa McBride has spent no less than ten months filming in Spain, becoming one of the largest international productions of recent years. The series has been filmed in eight autonomous communities, covering 22 municipalities and 38 locations that have brought an apocalyptic setting with a designation of origin to life.

Madrid has been the central hub of the filming, but the story has moved through the unique landscapes of Galicia, Aragon, Catalonia, the Valencian Community, Castilla-La Mancha, Castilla y León, Andalusia, and Navarra, demonstrating the diversity and scenic potential our country offers. From medieval cloisters to devastated rural landscapes, the series has integrated into each environment to enrich the visual narrative of the TWD universe.

The production has also strongly supported local talent. 98% of the production team, 93% of the cast, and 98% of the specialists are Spanish, a clear sign of the confidence placed in our industry. In addition, more than 2,400 extras have been incorporated, and work has been done with 2,700 national suppliers, consolidating the production as an economic and creative engine within the audiovisual sector.

The series will include, for the first time, dialogues in Spanish, Catalan, and Galician, in a nod to the linguistic richness of the country and its essential role within the plot. Among the additions to the cast are names such as Eduardo Noriega, Óscar Jaenada, Alexandra Masangkay, Hugo Arbués, Greta Fernández, and Candela Saitta, who will accompany the protagonists on this infernal journey through Spanish lands.

The world premiere will be held in Madrid on September 4th, with the presence of the main cast and an exclusive premiere on AMC+ Spain on September 8th, available through Vodafone TV, Prime Video, and Apple TV Channels.

The series also features key figures from The Walking Dead universe, such as showrunner David Zabel, executive producers Greg Nicotero, Brian Bockrath, Angela Kang, Jason Richman, Dan Percival, and Steve Squillante, as well as Silvia Aráez and Jesús de la Vega from Ánima Stillking, a production company associated with the TwentyFour Seven group.

At APCP, we celebrate this premiere and wish them every success.
