- Google: presents its “All in” inclusive marketing tools at Cannes Lions
Google has announced during the Cannes Lions festival an expansion of its All In inclusive marketing toolkit with new ideas for marketers, advertisers and creatives to develop “jobs that make sense for people with disabilities and that, in a one way or another, faithfully represent this community.
The reason for the expansion is that “as marketers, we have a responsibility to tell stories that are fully inclusive,” as Twohill says.
“And that means, among other things, that our marketing is accessible to everyone, and especially to people with disabilities, who make up 15% of the world’s population and who must be able to access and fully participate in our content, products and experiences.”
Google has provided American Sign Language interpreters for all Google programming at the event and has also provided attendees with real-time captions with Live Transcribe on Google Pixel devices.
In addition, the company has taken the necessary measures to make the Google Beach space accessible to wheelchairs.
After all this data collection and Google initiatives regarding inclusive marketing, Twohill points out that the next step is to extend All In worldwide, for which in the coming months the company will provide information on this group in new countries. .
“Growing up the son of deaf parents, Tony Lee, a designer on my team, says he always had one foot in the world of hearing and one in the world of the deaf. When the pandemic separated Tony and his parents, they used Google’s Live Transcribe app and Google Meet to communicate from afar and share important moments, like the birth of Tony’s son, the first grandchild on his side of the family. This experience, which Tony shared in our “A CODA Story” commercial, touched people all over the world. When we broaden the scope of our creative work, we really see how powerful inclusive marketing can be.”
