The production company collaborates with the UECM Solidarity Campaign ‘Leucemia vete ya‘ [Leukaemia go now].
Promoted by the Unoentrecienmil Foundation with the collaboration of Somos5 through the production of a powerful advertising spot, they have just launched a campaign to raise awareness of the urgent need for a change of protocol in the treatment of the disease in Spain.
In as many as 14 European countries, doctors apply a common protocol to children with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (the most common form of childhood leukaemia) that works more effectively than the one currently used in Spain.
Health professionals in Spain are doing their best to provide the best treatment for these patients, but they do not have the best tool to get them through: the common European protocol, which saves more lives, reduces side effects and speeds up their cure.
The Unoentrecienmil Foundation has invested almost €1,000,000 to set up hospitals and train medical staff in the new treatment, but it is not enough to alleviate the situation, which is why they are launching a petition to collect signatures in order to get public administrations to commit themselves to a greater degree. In addition, the spot produced by Somos5 to put the spotlight on the situation.
