Beat Music and Garage Films show how the talent of our associated production companies transcends advertising to bring to life documentaries that move, whether harmonizing the memory of Pasionaria or narrating SEAT’s electric transformation.
BEAT MUSIC
In the documentary Pasionaria, Dolores Ibárruri, music is not just accompaniment: it is a common thread, living memory, and a vehicle for emotion. Beat Music has taken on the musical supervision of the work, managing pre-existing music from multiple fronts: negotiation of licenses and rights, creative selection of songs and musical works for key sequences, logistical coordination, budget management, and legal and administrative advice. Each decision reflects a balance between creativity and technical precision, ensuring that the music dialogues with the narrative and message of the documentary.
The documentary Pasionaria, Dolores Ibárruri, directed by Amparo Ciment and produced by Bowfinger, also featured Silvia Pellico, Musical Supervisor of Beat Music, who led a global research effort that led her to contact representatives of authors and performers in countries such as Slovenia, Chile, Russia, Spain, and the United Kingdom. In many cases, the songs were old or versions without a publisher or record label, which complicated their tracing and authorization. This complex and meticulous process allowed the musical selection not only to respect the rights of the creators, but also to enhance the emotional and cultural identity of the project.
The result is an example of how musical post-production transcends the technical to become an art that enriches audiovisual narrative, transforming each note into an element that connects history, emotion, and spectator. Beat Music’s work demonstrates that behind every audiovisual project there is silent, precise, and creative work that makes stories come to life.
From the APCP, we celebrate this dedication and excellence, highlighting the importance of collaboration with post-production companies like Beat Music that, beyond advertising, elevate music to a protagonist in documentary cinema, strengthening the audiovisual industry and enriching the audience’s experience.
GARAGE FILMS
From industrial foundations to the human emotion that drives change, Infinito Studios is putting the finishing touches on an ambitious documentary that portrays the transformation of SEAT (Volkswagen Group) towards electric mobility. For more than two years, the team has had exclusive access to the SEAT and CUPRA plants in Martorell, documenting the technological, strategic, and emotional challenges of this industrial revolution.
The project, led by Amanda Sans Pantling, showrunner and winner of a Daytime Emmy, is directed by Alejandro Marzoa and Carles Caparrós, and produced by Oriol and Albert Uría together with Daniel Posada (Infinito Studios), in co-production with the SEAT Communication team, headed by Cecilia Taïeb. A story about change, innovation, and the future of mobility that demonstrates, once again, that our associated production companies transcend the limits of advertising to narrate the great movements of our time.
