Bambina, Garage Films, and Mamma Team will attend the Costa del Sol to present different films.

BAMBINA

Bambina has participated in the production of Pizza Movies, the new comedy by Carlo Padial (Dr. Portuondo, Algo muy gordo), based on an original screenplay by Desirée de Fez, Carlos de Diego, and Carlo Padial.

In this indie comedy, which draws from 70s-80s North American comedy, Padial unites the wit and connection of Martín and Romero, with the participation of actors and actresses such as Raúl Arévalo, Joaquín Reyes, Bruna Cusí, Melina Matthews, Javier Botet, Tamar Novas, Belén Barenys, Miguel Noguera, and Llimoo in a tender and funny comedy about the importance of chasing dreams.

Pizza movies narrates the ups and downs of a couple who, in the midst of a professional crisis, decide to leave everything and set up a new business. But not just any business…

GARAGE FILMS

Garage Films was present in the production of Daniel Posada’s latest film, with a screenplay by Daniel Posada, Luz Adriana Pérez-Morales, and Pablo Burgués. The film addresses the breaking point in El Salvador’s recent history when, “while the state of exception is imposed minute by minute, Mari and her group of mothers enter clandestine graves to search for their children disappeared by the gangs.”

Among illegal cemeteries, maximum-security prisons, and in the voice of Nayib Bukele along with other key pieces of the political-social scenario, Hasta Encontrarte (Until I Find You) narrates the fatal weekend in March 2022 that changed the history of the country that became the most dangerous in the world.

MAMMA TEAM

Mamma Team shares its great excitement to return to the Málaga Festival with what is already its second official selection and will compete for the Biznaga.

It is the feature film Mala Bèstia (Bad Beast), directed by Bàrbara Farré and co-produced by Sumendi Filmak, Mimosa Produce, Lágrima Films, Kabak Films, and Mamma Team.

The Málaga Festival will host the world premiere of Atenea’s story, “a girl who lives isolated with other minors without a family, in an environment where growing up means disappearing. When she goes to live with a family, everything seems to change. For the first time, she imagines being part of a place, building that home she had only sensed until now. But the threat of a future that does not include her begins to take shape, and, dominated by the fear of being excluded, she will do the unimaginable to stay forever.”

And that’s not all, as one of the three short films produced by our associated production company is also within the official selection: Ser un hombre (To Be a Man), directed by Lucas Parra and co-produced by Sumendi Filmak, Kabak Films, Mamma Team, and Roma, competes in the Official Short Film Selection. The short film focuses on Miguelito, “an innocent seven-year-old boy who accompanies his father and grandfather on a hunt that will change him forever.”
