The superstar Argentinean artist Tini has presented her new album, “un mechón de pelo”, whose creative direction has been in charge of terrivle studio with the direction of Bàrbara Farré and the photography of Lucas Casanovas, produced by CANADA.
Farré, director of clips like ‘Muñequita Linda’ by Najwa, ‘F*cking Money Man’ by Rosalía or ‘El Relámpago’ by Amaia comments how ‘we tried to give the most realistic vision of her life and world, we shot with Tini’s real father and we took care of details like the Argentinean products in the vending machine or the chairs’. A care for the details of the production that the artist also appreciated, ‘the shooting sent Martina to the same hospital, she was very excited to sit for the first time, she felt in the same hospital and moment’.
The launch of the project includes the production of three singles shot in Madrid, Talavera de la Reina and Buenos Aires between August 2023 and February 2024, in addition to the creativity of the visualizers, lyric videos, the photographs of the album and the various promotional assets for platforms such as Spotify.
“pa”, the first single, takes place in the waiting room of the hospital where the artist’s father was hospitalized for several months. Based on this deeply personal experience, a circular sequence shot travels through important moments in the artist’s life in which her father has accompanied her: at school when she was little, at the castings of the series that brought her to fame, or the last concert in which she saw him before he became ill.
“posta”, the second release, shows the transformation of a Martina in denial about her father’s illness, to an inner awakening that reveals a more rockstar and empowered alter ego. This video was shot at the iconic Puente de Hierro in Talavera de la Reina, with a magnetic band guided system that allowed the repetition of movement to match the “two personalities” of the artist.
“buenos aires” closes this trio of singles, shot in the Argentine capital and following the artist in an empty city, from the top of a building. Farré comments on the intention of the clip ”we wanted to break with the panic and fear that Tini had of walking around Buenos Aires”. The artist’s agoraphobia made it impossible for her to walk the streets, anxiety about the media chasing her, taking pictures and inventing new news about her. And the videoclip shows love and also fears, sensations linked to Buenos Aires. Tini imagines herself walking, losing the fear of stepping on the streets.
