The Marché du Film has already begun. The Cannes Film Festival opened on 6th July and with it, the market for the audiovisual industry in hybrid format, which will end on 15th July.
The 2021 edition of the Marché du Film, the world’s largest film market, will once again bring together distributors, sales agents, producers and executives from the audiovisual sector. The Palais des Festivals et des Congrès de Cannes will once again host the official Spanish pavilion: Cinema from Spain, organised by ICEX together with the ICAA.
This will be ICEX‘s tenth presence at the Marché du Film with an official pavilion.
Cinema From Spain will have a physical space of 115 square metres where companies and institutions such as Film Factory Entertainment, Begin Again Films, Zineuskadi, Ibicine and Spain Film Commission will be present.
The audiovisual industry is coming to Cannes at a time when Spain is enjoying a boom as a destination for international filming, thanks to the increase in tax incentives and the Spanish government’s announcement of the Spain Audiovisual Hub project.
The Cinema From Spain virtual pavilion will be held in parallel to the on-site event with the possibility for companies to present their new products to accredited participants through the pavilion’s own online screenings.
ICEX, with the aim of promoting the internationalisation of Spanish companies and encouraging foreign investment, has developed the guide “Who is Who – Shooting in Spain 2021″, of which APCP is part and which will be presented on Wednesday 14th July.
