To raise awareness, cancer research and treatment institution Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center partnered with creative agency Alma and production company Central Films to make the short film “Late”. This short film is part of a bilingual public service campaign promoting the importance of cancer screening. It premiered on February 4 on World Cancer Day, a global event where cancer awareness takes center stage.
As a key asset to the entire campaign, the short film “Late” was directed by Rodrigo Garcia Saiz, partner and director of Central Films, who has a special connection to the film’s story, having been treated for cancer himself in the past. The director’s film tells a love story shaped by the moments of being late, while reminding viewers of the moments when timing is everything.
