The Hollywood Reporter has published a significant report on the rise of the Spanish audiovisual industry. It points to the government’s recognition of this industry as strategic and fundamental for its action as a crucial moment. In addition, the report includes the participation of leading players in Spain’s audiovisual ecosystem.
It especially highlights the launch in 2021 of the government plan Spain, Audiovisual Hub of Europe, which aims to inject €1.6 billion into the industry by 2025. This plan focuses on four main axes: attracting foreign investment and filming, improving finances and tax instruments, training talent – with a special focus on women – and carrying out regulatory reforms and removing administrative barriers.
The report also highlights the great interest of foreign production companies and professionals in the Spanish audiovisual industry, as well as the tax incentives available.
