The ICAA opens the call for aid for the production of feature films in 2025
From Spain Audiovisual Hub, they are publicizing the call for general aid for the production of feature films based on projects, corresponding to the 2025 financial year. The call, managed by the Institute of Cinematography and Audiovisual Arts (ICAA), will be carried out under a competitive tender system, with a multi-year nature and two selection procedures.
The total allocation amounts to 33 million euros, of which 19.8 million will be charged to the 2025 budget. This is one of the main public funding channels to promote film development and production in our country.
These grants may be requested by:
- Independent production companies (including economic interest groups).
- Non-independent production companies, provided they co-produce with independent companies.
- Projects carried out by several production companies, constituted as groups according to article 11.3 of the General Subsidies Law.
The deadline for submitting applications will be open from July 16 to August 6, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. (Peninsular time). Applications submitted after this deadline will not be accepted. This is a key opportunity to boost new feature films in the project phase.
