Spain Audiovisual Hub: María Coronado Appointed Director of Audiovisual by SETT

She will play an essential role in the “Spain, Audiovisual Hub of Europe” Plan, aimed at boosting the Spanish audiovisual industry and its evolution to the current digital environment.

María Coronado Álvarez, with extensive experience in the business area of the cultural sector, has been appointed Director of Audiovisual of SETT. Her incorporation aims to prioritize and build bridges between the world of culture and the audiovisual industry with the financial sector. This means conducting risk analyses, project viability studies, creating synergies and agreements, and locating actors in the sector.

Since SETT is an entity that manages specific investments through capitalizations and loans, it generates a multitude of investment opportunities and serves as a public hinge for a multitude of business opportunities. Among others, the Spain Audiovisual Hub Fund.

Within the “Spain, Audiovisual Hub of Europe” plan, the new director plays a fundamental role as she aims to guide and boost the Spanish audiovisual industry and update it to the current digital environment. To this end, she intends to improve access to financing for projects in film, television, video games, and other digital content. Coronado will contribute her experience in the cultural and financial sectors to foster synergies between culture, the audiovisual industry, and investment opportunities.
