The Spain Audiovisual Hub organizes a conference to discuss the challenges and opportunities of the sector in Europe.

The Ministry for Digital Transformation and Public Function, through the Secretary of State for Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, is holding a day of reflection and debate for the third consecutive year within the framework of the San Sebastián Festival. Under the title “Leading the audiovisual future,” the meeting aims to promote the circulation of good practices and analyze the audiovisual ecosystem at a time marked by digital transformation and global challenges.

The initiative is part of the Spain Audiovisual Hub of Europe Plan, launched in 2021, which four years later has consolidated Spain as a benchmark in audiovisual production. During the conference, key topics such as technological changes, new forms of production and creation will be addressed, as well as opportunities for growth and consolidation of an industry that is essential both industrially and culturally.

The program includes two round tables with representatives of leading companies and organizations such as the Galician Audiovisual Cluster, Diboos, Movistar+, and Filmin. The results of the European Media Outlook 2025 from the European Commission will also be presented, along with success stories that illustrate how innovation and creativity are shaping the future of the sector. In addition, there will be institutional participation from figures such as Minister Óscar López, Secretary of State María González Veracruz, and the Director General of the ICAA, Ignasi Camós.

The event will take place on September 17th at the Kursaal Press Club, with free entry for festival accreditations until full capacity is reached. A unique opportunity to learn firsthand about the trends that will mark the future of European audiovisuals and to continue positioning Spain as a strategic international hub.
