The Spanish Film Institute (ICAA) has announced general grants for the production of feature films based on projects for 2025.
This is done through an open call with two selection procedures, regulated by Article 24 of Law 55/2007 of 28 December. Independent production companies, including economic interest groups, as defined in Article 4 n) of Law 55/2007 of 28 December, are eligible for these grants, as are non-independent production companies, including economic interest groups, in relation to feature films made in co-production with independent production companies. On the other hand, in the case of projects carried out by several production companies, these shall constitute the group referred to in Article 11.3 of Law 38/2003, of 17 November, on General Subsidies.
The deadline for submitting applications accompanied by the required documentation in the second selection procedure will begin on 26 August 2025 and end on 15 September 2025 at 2 p.m. Spanish mainland time.
