Beyond the data on salaries and their evolution, SCOPEN in its 2022 Salary Scope has focused on analyzing diversity and equality policies as well. This takes the study a step further: going deeper to create a broader view in its twelfth edition.
To arrive at the current results, 1,178 professionals have collaborated, of which 494 are media agencies and 684 are creative agencies.
The study, conducted between 31 January and 8 April 2022, shows that remuneration in both types of agencies has remained the same. However, there is some contrast between the data, as while executives report that their gross pay has risen, overall it has fallen by an average of 6.6%.
But what are the results on equality and diversity? The reality is that 80.9% of those surveyed believe that their company has implemented policies aimed at greater equality in the workplace. This is a clear indication that these measures are working well.
The gap between the number of women in management positions and the number of men has also narrowed, although the same pay gap is still evident and has increased to 13%.
As Agustín Vivancos, President of the ACT commented after the study, “there is still a long way to go to turn the sector into a model industry and we hope that all the agents involved will help us to achieve this”.
