At the APCP we continue with our commitment to reduce our environmental impact and make our events and activities not only sustainable, but also places for the dissemination of good practices.
Once again this year we have worked with CREAST to measure and reduce the carbon footprint generated during the XII Conference on Advertising Film Production, held in Valencia on 4 and 5 December 2024.
According to the report, the total carbon footprint of the event was 5.8 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent (CO₂eq), a level in line with the characteristics and scope of the meeting, which brought together more than 200 attendees over two days. The category with the highest impact was catering (1,989.4 kg CO₂eq), followed by energy (1,481.99 kg CO₂eq) and mobility (1,106.03 kg CO₂eq).
Among the sustainable practices highlighted at the event were the use of biodegradable materials, the rental of electronic equipment and customised production with an environmental focus. However, the report highlights areas for improvement, such as transport logistics and the use of recycled materials, which could further reduce environmental impact.
APCP has also implemented offsetting measures, such as planting six trees in collaboration with indigenous communities, which will help capture the equivalent of 6.6 tonnes of CO₂ over a 20-year period.
In addition, the report also highlights our commitment to equal opportunities and parity, with a team made up of 46% men and 54% women.
With this collaboration with CREAST, APCP reaffirms its leadership in sustainable production, its will to transform its events into environmentally friendly models and to promote a more environmentally responsible sector.
