The film ‘Rich Flu’, directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia (El Hoyo) and co-produced by Mamma Team, has just been selected for the Toronto International Film Festival and has begun its tour of festivals.

APCP member production company Mamma Team will participate in the upcoming edition of TIFF, the Toronto International Film Festival, with its feature film ‘Rich Flu’ in co-production with Nostromo, Basque Films and Fábula, in the Industry Select.

The film, directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, alongside Rafe Spall, Timothy Spall, Jonah Hauer-King, and the iconic Lorraine Bracco (who doesn’t remember her from ‘One of Us’ or ‘The Sopranos’?). Billed as a thriller/mystery, the plot synopsis tells of a strange and unexpected disease that is taking the lives of the world’s richest and most influential people. First the billionaires die, then the millionaires, and so on. The pandemic threatens to overtake anyone with a fortune of any kind. No one knows where the limit is. At first, the masses joyfully celebrate the demise of the great fortunes, but as the collapse of their economic empires affects the stock market, employment and economic stability, chaos grips the First World.
