- Only925’s documentary “La quimio jugando se pasa volando”, for Juegaterapia Foundation, has been awarded!
The documentary “La quimio jugando se pasa volando”, produced by Only925 for the Juegaterapia Foundation, won the Children’s Award at the 14th @feciso Social Film Festival held in Toledo on the 17th of October.
Its goal is to raise awareness about how games can help paediatric cancer patients. The documentary features children’s testimonies, with Alejandro Sanz as narrator.
Focusing on the children’s opinions, it shows how “in the solitude of a hospital room, a video game console becomes a powerful help to put a smile on the faces of the children living in the hospital, to raise their heads and discover their desire to win. Every game played is a game won if it makes the day go by without pain and fear.
This has been scientifically proven by Dr. Mario Alonso Puig and his medical team at the Hospital La Paz in Madrid. According to the Foundation, “the clinical implications of these findings are important, because video games could be included as part of the non-pharmacological therapeutic plan for paediatric oncological mucositis”, in an attempt to use the documentary to “reach hospital medical departments in order to include video games in the protocols of health therapies”.
