Blur Media, part of Blur dedicated to cinema, premieres a new production: “La Mala Familia” (Nacho A. Villar and Luis Rojo, 2022), which will hit the big screens on 5 May. This feature film tells the story of a group of friends who meet again and will have to look to the past to save their future.
As its creators told NEO2 magazine, “In “La mala familia”, we will follow the odyssey of Andrés and his group of friends, we come across capital themes such as prison in life (prison as a shadow that lurks at every moment/the feeling of living as a prisoner in freedom), or the limits of friendship when it faces a society that seeks assimilation by neutralising those marked as strangers, the difficulty of thinking about a future without breaking with a past as inevitable as it is hurtful”.
We also highlight that the fiction film has been chosen to become part of the New Waves of Fiction section of the Seville Festival, the Bright Future Section of the Rotterdam Festival, BAFICI, IBAFF in the official section and that it has been awarded the Prize for Best Spanish Documentary at MiradasDoc.
