- “Nothing at all”: Blur’s production, which is part of the Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival, now has a release date.
“As a mother drives with her daughter through the wealthy suburbs of her hometown, looking at the homes of the rich, she accidentally drives her car into a beautiful flower garden in the front yard of a mansion, stalling the vehicle. The daughter must find the solution before her mother’s visceral fascination with the house and its owner leads them both to the point of no return.” This is the plot of Blur’s short film that has helped the APCP-associated production company to enter the Official Selection of the Cannes Film Festival and which will premiere on 26 May in the French city.
The directors, Francisco Cantón and Patricio Martínez, were born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1992 and 1985 respectively. They have been working together for almost ten years, making short documentaries, music videos and TV commercials. Their first short film, “Loose Fish”, was completed in 2020 and screened at TIFF, BFI London and Camerimage Festival. They are currently developing two feature film projects and editing a documentary about Argentinian musician and actress Juana Molina.
