A strategic and unique tool in Spain to analyze, organize, and project the future of the sector, presented within the framework of the General Assembly of the Madrid Audiovisual Cluster.
In the context of the General Assembly of the Madrid Audiovisual Cluster—of which the APCP is an associated member—the Madrid Audiovisual Observatory was officially presented, a strategic tool set to become a benchmark for understanding, measuring, and anticipating the evolution of the sector in the region. The presentation took place in the Écija Auditorium, in a meeting that brought together associated entities, institutional representatives, and professionals from across the entire value chain.
The Observatory is born as a unique space in Spain, designed to gather and structure key information on Madrid’s audiovisual activity through three areas: Agenda Madrid, which covers festivals and sector activities; Data Madrid, a dynamic repository of indicators and documents; and Radar Madrid, dedicated to identifying trends and emerging projects. A living instrument, constantly updated, intended to provide clarity, context, and strategic vision at a crucial moment for the industry.
During the presentation, the Cluster’s Board of Directors showed the scope of this platform and its usefulness for companies, institutions, and professionals who need reliable data to make decisions and detect new opportunities.
Institutional support was also present: both the Deputy Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Sport of the Community of Madrid, Luis Martín, and the General Coordinator of the Mayor’s Office of the Madrid City Council, Inmaculada Sánchez-Cervera, underscored the Observatory’s role in consolidating Madrid as one of the most relevant audiovisual hubs in the country.
The day also included the General Assembly, where the budget and activity plan for 2026 were approved, and new members were welcomed. A meeting that reaffirms the shared commitment to continue strengthening the Madrid audiovisual ecosystem and positions the Observatory as a key pillar for the future of the sector.
From the APCP, we celebrate this decisive step and will continue working within the Cluster to promote initiatives that reinforce the competitiveness, innovation, and visibility of the audiovisual sector in Madrid.
