Johann Wald has hosted the inauguration of the 10th edition of the Commercial Film Workshop this 29th of September in the Teatre Talia, in Valencia.
‘How can we catch someone’s eye? This is the question that Wald has opened the event with, and the answer is one of the most valuable assets in the actuality of the audiovisual world.
Due to the quickness of the industry, conditioned and characterised by the technological environment and the social media, catching the audience’s eye is becoming more difficult. However, advertising professionals have been trying (and achieving) this goal for years, giving them the title of ‘new wise men/women’.
Johann also highlights the importance of ‘finding the way to catch someone’s eye and awakening imagination’, and assures that in spite of everything it is more important to have an idea than a budget.
After this, María Jesús Horcajuelo, the new president of the APCP, received a warm welcome from the attendees. She used the opportunity to thank all the attendees and the Film Comission de Visit Valencia for attending the Conference.
The Valencia Film Office, one of the organising entities for this 10th edition, has dedicated a few words to the administration of the APCP, thanking them for acknowledging the value of their city.
