Founded in 2011, NEVADA quickly became CANADA’s service division. It offers all the technical and cinematographic know-how present in the projects signed by CANADA to international production companies and directors. NEVADA ensures the highest quality in each and every process, total transparency and unwavering commitment.

Confirming a track record that underlines the unique competence and reliability of its professionals, the last few years have been a whirlwind of activity for NEVADA; adding the unparalleled experience of its long-standing partnerships to the successes signed with new production companies and directors. NEVADA believes in building a strong team, a seamless unity between local and visiting crews.

CANADA’s work helped to reveal to the world the possibilities of making highly demanding projects in Spain, and NEVADA is the natural place to take advantage of this.

We would like to highlight how the production company has worked together with several companies in the sector to achieve APCP’s sponsorship at Cannes Lions 2024. This year, they will be joining us at LBB Beach on the Croisette Beach from 17-21 June as part of this prestigious international event.

We spoke to Diana C. Milesi, Nevada Executive Producer.

What factors contributed to Nevada quickly becoming CANADA’s service division?

Our work at CANADA has always been in the service of creativity and that made us interesting to a lot of fellow directors who wanted that same experience when shooting abroad and that’s how NEVADA started.

That willingness to go one step further is what you look for to make a good piece. And that’s how we approached the service, adding the creative side to the execution side. The result matters a lot to us.

What were Nevada’s first projects and how did they impact on its initial growth? Can you highlight any that have marked your professional career?

NEVADA’s first projects were videoclips, something we had been doing with CANADA. Producers wanted to come and shoot in the same way we did. One of the first ones was True Romance (Citizens) with WAFLA which was spectacular. We are lucky to have worked with very powerful directors and producers, and I would highlight a very special one: Mercedes’ project “Grow up” with Gustav Johansson, we managed to show a very international Barcelona with little known locations. They were many days and just like the title of the campaign, we also grew up a lot and we consolidated our position as a reference service production company.

What aspects of film manufacturing know-how do you consider to be the most valuable that Nevada brings to projects with CANADA?

I would highlight above all the teams. Discovering talent and nurturing it is the way we operate. It’s not just about pushing directors of photography, art directors, stylists or production teams to the highest level, growing together is as important as making sure that these teams continue to feel that at NEVADA and CANADA we work comfortably and safely.

What advantages has Nevada found in working with talent and companies from different parts of the world?

That’s the most wonderful part of the service. We get to go further because we get to connect with creative teams that we might not have discovered and it ends up bringing value to both NEVADA and CANADA. It’s happened a lot with cinematographers and also with directors who have become friends. The best thing is to learn how other companies work and to exchange with people from all over the world is the key to progress.

What are Nevada’s long-term goals as a production company to further consolidate its position in the international market?

To continue to focus on quality and to let producers and directors appreciate us for the results and the smoothness of the process. We will soon publish a beautiful project we have just done for our partners at Newland. An amazing result and an easy process based on trust. We want to be a service of transparency and teamwork where people come and feel at home.
