Our associate production company, Mamma Team, launches the festival distribution of the short film directed by J. Cano Larumbe in style.
The short film Vacío continues its festival run with its first awards. The work, directed by J. Cano Larumbe and produced by Forty Entertainment, Mamma Team, and Arcadia Motion Pictures, with distribution by Selected Films, has been honored at the Weekend Horror Awards, where it received three notable recognitions.
Specifically, Vacío won the award for Best Director for Javier Cano Larumbe, Best Cinematography for Alvar Riu, and Best Editing for Judith Miralles. These awards recognize the creative and technical work of the team and position the short film as a proposal to follow within the genre festival circuit.
Starring María Valverde, Tomeu Artigas, and Javier Beltrán, Vacío is a psychological horror story that revolves around Félix, an eight-year-old boy who faces a darkness different from that of other children: a dense, almost corporeal darkness, in which a threatening presence is hidden, which has burst into his home and endangers what he loves most.
These recognitions mark a first milestone in the short film’s trajectory and reinforce our production companies’ commitment to fiction projects with a marked authorial identity.
