- The APCP WEEK: James Rouse will be opening the event, followed by the conference ‘mise en place, kitchen pre-production versus audiovisual pre-production’.
On the 29th of September, director James Rouse will be part of the opening talk of the 10th edition of the Advertising Film Production Conference, where he will be interviewed by Juan García-Escudero.
Together, they will talk about Rouse’s professional career, which has mainly been focused on advertising film productions. The multi-award-winning British director, who is currently working at Blur Productions, was the winner of the Grand Prix during the 2018 Cannes Lions festival with his project Hope.
He has also directed full-length fiction films like Downhill (2014) and has been at the head of campaigns for WhatsApp, Euromillones, Harvey Nichols, Evian, Pedigree, Marmite, Sainsbury’s or Vodafone.
Regarding Juan García-Escudero, he has been proclaimed one of the 100 most creative persons in the world by Forbes magazine, and is currently Chief Creative Officer at TBWA.
The same day of the interview, we will hold the conference ‘Mise en place, kitchen pre-productions versus audiovisual pre-production’, about the similarities and differences between gastronomic production and our industry’s audiovisual production.
For this talk, we will be accompanied by Borja Beneyto ‘Matose’ and Maria José Martínez. Beneyto is a gastronomic journalist and member of the Real Academia de Gastronomía, as well as the Co-Founder of Brandelicious and one of the best restaurant trackers in the country.
MArtinez, on the other hand, is the owner and Head Chef of the Valencian restaurant Lienzo, she has been awarded a Michelin Star for her cooking, focused on local and proximity products and the use of key ingredients like honey.
Together with Néstor Costarreda, Post-Production Manager at HARRY, these professionals will unveil the secrets to a perfect menu, as well as an excellent audiovisual production.

- Today is the last day to sign up to participate in El Chupete this 2022.
You are still on time to sign up and compete in the 2022 edition of El Chupete. For this 18th edition, the festival has delayed the deadline to participate to the 9th of September and lowered the price participants have to pay to compete.
However, the category of Social Campaign will have a different price, a special characteristic that this category has had since the creation of the festival, giving it further recognition and encouraging participation.
El Chupete, just like every year, has the purpose of acknowledging the work of those in the industry that have values, products or services aimed at the children in the audience. This edition is specially relevant to the festival’s history, as it is its coming-of-age edition.
- Leo Solanes, shortlist jury of the 2022 FIAP.
The Festival Iberoamericano de la Creatividad or FIAP (Iberoamerican Creativity Festival) will have a jury made up of up to 200 people in order to evaluate the competing projects.
