From L’Oreal’s presentation at the APCP Festival, to the strategic impulse of Ventana Madrid, the feminine inspiration of the Women’s Film Festival, and the celebration of the festival CONECTA Digital: October becomes a key month for talent, collaboration, and the evolution of the audiovisual industry.

  • “Because I’m worth it”: the story behind the claim that changed advertising comes to the APCP Festival. The XIII APCP Commercial Film Workshop unveil one of their most anticipated presentations: a session with L’Oréal Paris that invites reflection on the transformative power of ideas and the female voice in advertising. Attendees will enjoy the documentary The Final Copy of Ilon Specht, directed by Oscar winner Ben Proudfoot, which revives the story of the young copywriter who in 1971 wrote the four words that redefined the role of women in communication: “Because I’m worth it.” After the screening, a debate will open with Lucía Angulo (CEO of McCann Worldgroup Spain) and Patricia Muñoz Caballero (Brand Purpose & Advocacy Manager of L’Oréal Paris Iberia), moderated by Eva de Lera, executive producer and jury member at Cannes Lions 2025. An event to rediscover how an idea can transcend its time and become a cultural symbol. More information here.

  • Ventana Madrid 2025: a space to rethink the future of production companies. The 11th edition of Ventana Madrid (October 20–22) returns with a strategic focus on the role of production companies as a driving force for the growth of the audiovisual sector. This year, a panel on the entry of investors into audiovisual production companies has been prepared, which will take place on October 22 at 11:00 AM at the Palacio de Longoria (SGAE). The table will bring together expert voices to reflect on how to establish solid relationships between producers and investors, promoting sustainable business models connected to the international industry. An essential event for those who believe that the future of production is built on collaboration and a long-term vision. More information here.

  • Women who inspire: 13 days to celebrate talent and equality. The VIII edition of the Women’s Film Festival Madrid returns from October 28 to November 9 with a complete program of 13 free professional and training activities, which will bring together essential figures in cinema such as Esther García, Arantxa Echevarría, Petra Martínez, Martina Gusman, or Antonia Zegers, among many others. This year, the festival reinforces its commitment to visibility and equity in the audiovisual industry, offering round tables, conferences, and meetings in emblematic spaces such as Casa de América, Espacio Fundación Telefónica, or the Pedro Zerolo Cinematheque. An event that not only celebrates female talent behind and in front of the cameras but also invites the public—especially new generations—to actively participate in the change towards a more diverse, fair, and transformative cinema.

  • Conecta DIGITAL: when technology and creativity go hand in hand. On November 18 and 19, Conecta DIGITAL will transform the Meeting Place in Madrid into the epicenter where technological innovation meets the audiovisual entertainment industry. This extension of Conecta FICTION & ENTERTAINMENT proposes an immersive journey through the tools that are redefining the sector: AI, VFX, blockchain, metaverse, and immersive experiences, among many others. Through workshops, panels, and interactive sessions, participants will explore how technology can drive each stage of audiovisual creation, from idea to distribution. Its objective: to train present professionals to conquer the global businesses of the future. More information here.
